Pack smaller items in boxes.
Place larger items or items you won’t need to access often in the back.
Fill boxes completely. Boxes that aren’t filled tend to collapse and possibly fall.
Metal objects can rust if in storage for a long time.
Pack the storage unit so the most valuable items are in the back.
Wrap furniture and other valuable items in plastic. Place all items on palettes.
Under no circumstances store flammable or combustible items.
Make sure to secure renter’s insurance.
